The published price of the network.
Operators fund the network with demand deposits: α deposited each block (7 days) for the data and users they serve. The sheet below is the published rate: an operator pays the best tier whose staked-α threshold it meets, and the 0 tier applies to everyone, with or without staked α.
Initial period: the published rate is 0 α. No operator demand deposits are collected while the network is being hardened; every operator pool is given equal demand, so measured quality alone steers the pool channel.
| Tier | Staked α threshold | α / GiB | α / user | USD / GiB | USD / user |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | Everyone | 0 α | 0 α | — | — |
